All homes need routine painting and caulking to keep out the weather and preserve the building materials. A log home is no different than a framed home. How you finish the interior and exterior wood surfaces of your log home will help determine how long the wood retains its natural beauty.

At The Great Snake River Log Home Company, we take pride in our understanding of wood and our ability to help preserve it by using the best in wood preservation materials. Once we build a log home we can provide a turn key wood preservation program that will preserve the lasting beauty of your log home, year after year. AND we have all the equipment necessary to reach those high places.

Spraying wood often penetrates and seals the little cracks missed by a brush or roller. In the picture to the right, we are applying LIFELINE, a Natural Wood Interior and Exterior Finish for log homes fences, and roofs.

LIFELINE enhances the natural beauty of hand-hewn square log homes with soft, transparent hues that are anchored in the wood for a long lasting, natural appearance.

Western style round log homes illustrate the rugged beauty of the old west. As the old west was harsh, so are the demands placed on your home by exposure to the sun, moisture and temperature extremes. Available colors are:

LIFELINE uses an advanced formulation of polymer blends to provide a long lasting shield of protection that penetrates deep to encase and fortify wood fibers. Soft porous woods such as cedar are strengthened by tough polymers to withstand extreme conditions.

The polymer blends of LIFELINE are vapor permeable, allowing encased wood fibers to "breathe" as nature intended--water vapor can migrate out through the polymer shield, but water as a liquid cannot work its way in.
