Home layout. Country farm house on three levels. Upstairs you will find, two bedrooms, one on either end of the home connected by a catwalk. Each bedroom has a window, sky lite and closet. Vegetable gardens; one mature 38'x20' fenced garden with eight raised beds that is producing or has produced carrots, mustard greens, onions (3 kinds), garlic, tomatoes (2 kinds), potatoes (3 kinds). A second 55'x75' garden with seven raised beds is producing potatoes and bush beans. There are 30 yards of top soil in place for 25 more garden beds. We plan to add the 25 beds in the spring of 2009. In addition we may erect two greenhouses in the spring. One will be 10x10x8 feet high. The other will be approximately 20x48x12 feet high.
This property has no covenants or restrictions. The pasture is fully fenced. The well is 240 feet deep and produces about 30 gallons per minute. We have watered the lawn, gardens and pasture all day and have not experienced a drop in water pressure. In Montana you own the water right to your well and the water right transfers with the sale of the home. For in house use the well is filtered for normal sediment and there is a water softener.
Parking for many vehicles.
Area information;
Fortine has a post office, k-6 grade school, church, bar, small store, gas station, fire station, Fortine creek, and a par three golf course.
The town of Eureka is located twelve miles north and has two banks, a credit union, library, several churches, two grocery stores (one very new and large), several bars, golf course, two hardware stores, two feed stores, three mechanics garages, a plumbing and electrical store, four restaurants, a dentist, two or three doctors, two clinics, two chiropractors, two lawyers, the local telephone and Internet company, the electric company, grade school, middle school, and high school.
The city of Whitefish, located forty miles south, has many speciallty stores and restaurants, banks, dentists, doctors, hospital, schools, and all the normal things any small city has.
In the Kalispel area (sixty miles south) there is a hospital, three auto dealerships, more banks and credit unions, three big box stores, a Costco and a Walmart, several furniture stores, two office supply stores, a Best Buy, more dentists and doctors, hospital, and much more.
