All logs are Timber Products Inspection (TPI) Graded and are available in two grades:
#1 Grade
This grade of logs
is of the highest standard for structural strength and facial integrity. These logs are cut from live trees and allowed to air dry or are kiln dried to a moisture range
of approximately 18-20% and are grade stamped. Beams/Rafters/Purlins may contain a higher moisture content.
#2 Grade
This grade of logs
is of a high average industry grade. These logs are cut from dead standing trees and harvested within the first two years after they die. These are seasoned
naturally and will possess a little larger checking than the #1 Grade. This grade is well suited for structural and facial integrities. The moisture content is
guaranteed less than 17% and grade stamped.
