Original Log Cabin Homes brings the same attention to detail and quality to our joinery as we do to all of our manufacturing processes. With two high-tech facilities in operation for the creation of our custom profiles and joinery, we are proud to set the industry standard. We have taken the proud traditions of American wood working to a new level, bringing time-tested traditional techniques and modern sawmill technology together to create the finest log homes available anywhere.
Swedish Cope corners are a variation of the Saddlenotch. This corner is often used by handcrafters. A notch is formed in the bottom of the logs; and the log straddles the log that passes from the perpendicular wall. The opposing walls each begin with a half-log to ensure that the logs do not butt into each other.
