Design Consultation
Our 52 years of experience in the building industry has taught us many lessons, which can benefit our clients. One of these lessons is to listen to the homeowner. To help you make your dream come true, we like to get involved in the project as early as possible. The benefit to you is more accurate information gained from our years of experience. The sooner that information is incorporated into your design and plans, the easier, the building process will be for everyone involved and the better the result.
Our design consultation services range from helping you refine your floor plan, to locating mechanical spaces and room configurations. We use your ideas and our experience to offer realistic solutions to your design questions.

Building Site Preparation
Finding the perfect spot for your new log home is the first step in realizing your dream. Naturally many site preparation ideas need to be considered, accessibility, water drainage, tree removal, retaining walls, etc. If your building site is situated in a rural location, you may also need to consider the location of the well, sewer/septic system and the out buildings.
To deal with these issues you need more than a log homebuilder. As a general contractor, we have dealt with these kinds of issues many times, and can help you transform your building site into that perfect spot for your dream home.

Permit Acquisition
We have found that each locality has different requirements for building log homes. In order to obtain all the proper building permits one must understand these requirements. Since most building inspectors have not seen many log homes, it is important that the general contractor explain the construction methods unique to log home building and how these methods meet the requirements of the local building agencies. We can obtain the necessary permits by providing engineering designs, environmental assessments or on-site consultation to local building officials.

Log Erection
The day the logs arrive on your building site is one of the most exciting days a homeowner can have. It's the day you see all of your plans come to reality. It is also a critical phase of the construction process. It must be carefully orchestrated to make sure the log shell is properly placed on the foundation, and that each log is set as the supplier intended.
We work with the log supplier to schedule the delivery of the logs and make sure all the necessary equipment and personnel are ready for the day. Our master craftsmen use cranes and hydraulic lifts to position each log, as it is unloaded from the truck. To make sure the log set goes smoothly we not only make sure we have the right equipment and people, we also communicate closely with the log supplier on every detail. Experience has taught us how to make the process go smoothly and be enjoyable for everyone.

Scheduling Supplies and Subcontractors
A key to successful projects is reliable and experienced suppliers and subcontractors. Building supplies must be carefully selected to meet the unique requirements of a handcrafted log home. Subcontractors must have experience with this type of construction to know how and where to put cabinets, electrical wiring, plumbing and heating devices. We handpick each of our suppliers and subcontractors, and have been working with them for many years.
Our commitment to top quality suppliers begins with the log package. We have worked exclusively with three log different log yards. We believe they produce the highest quality handcrafted log homes in the world today. Because we have worked with them for a number of years, we know what they deliver and they know what we expect quality. The same quality is delivered from our cabinet- makers, electricians, plumbing and heating contractors to our windows and door supplier. This long-term relationship is critical to the success of each project and beneficial to you - the homeowner.

Steel Roof Systems
Our steel roof systems come in a variety of colors. Steel roof systems are designed to last far longer than any other roof system.

Landscaping
A log home would not be complete without surrounding it with a designed landscape. To make the home look like it "belongs" in the natural surroundings takes both vision and experience. The building site must be transformed into a welcoming environment. We can help you create that warm and nestled feeling by taking advantage of the natural surroundings such as water, trees, and hillsides. Whether your building site is near a lake, in the woods, on the prairie or in the suburbs, we have landscape designers that can create that “belongs” feeling to your dream home.
