Unfortunately not everyone
has enjoyed the benefits of living in a truly handcrafted log home. There are
many log home manufactures that produce "kits" that you can build
yourself or hire a contractor to build. Many of the log home manufacturers
produce "milled" log cut to specific dimensions of diameter and
length. As these milled logs begin to dry they can shrink and pull apart at the
seams. Over the years, these gaps increase and allow water to damage and
destroy the logs.
Mold, mildew, sun and water damage can also
be caused by other factors. Insufficient stain/sealer, or just poor
construction methods may lead to progressive deterioration over time.
To be able to fix the problems and restore
the log home to its original beauty, one must first understand what caused the
damage. We have been studying these destructive factors for years and helping
homeowners understand what caused their dream home to deteriorate. After
carefully evaluating the cause of the problem a recommendation can be made and
a plan of action developed.
In log home restoration, experience is
the most important asset a builder can possess. Superior craftsmanship and
materials come next. We understand that and have been applying our experience,
craftsmanship and superior materials to restoration projects for years. We can
help restore your dream home too.
