Dear Steve:

It is with great pleasure that I find myself writing this letter of appreciation in our new log home that your company built for us. As I look back on the building process over the last year, I am reminded of the many long discussions we had during the planning and designing phase of the project. You made numerous trips to our house to help us plan and design our dream home. We are now living in the result of all those long meetings and enjoying the benefits of that planning.

Every time we have guest they comment on the open design of the home and extraordinary craftsmanship in the construction. Your creativity and experience at finding solutions to each unique situation has contributed to a wonderful home.

In the fall of 1991 I had some major work done on my old house in Carver, both by the way of repairs, such as new roofs, and remodeling, especially the screen porch in the back. Steven Anderson was my contractor on this job. He lined up a crew who did different types of work, and he was on the ball supervising them, and sometimes working with them himself. I had not met Steve before this, but I found him to be knowledgeable and capable, as well as accommodating and pleasant to work with. And when the job was finished, his crew cleaned up after themselves, and left everything neat.

Most important of all, I found Steve to be honest.

Recently when I needed a small repair job done, I called Steve again. He came soon and did that job quickly an efficiently. I do not hesitate to recommend him for any type of work calling for a contractor or carpenter.

Enclosed you will find our check in the amount of $3,080. this consists of the balance due you plus interest for 2 months at 1 1/3 % per month.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that we appreciated doing business with you. We are entirely satisfied with your work and some of the credit, as I’m sure you’ll agree, should go to Kelly and Stan. Both you and they treated our family with courtesy, were very patient and are excellent craftsmen.

It’s been fun entertaining in our new addition. Several of our friends have had favorable comments with regard to the quality of your work.

The only things that remain uncompleted before final building inspection are a footing for one deck pole and general grading. We would really appreciate it if you could complete the grading at our earliest convenience because we plan to gravel or asphalt the driveway in the near future.

Dear Mr. Anderson,

Just a note to thank you and your employees for the magnificent workmanship removing the old stain, re staining, caulking, and chinking our log home.

Our log home is 12 years old. We purchased it ten years ago. The problems we were attempting to remedy were peeling of sealant, shrinking of caulking, and questionable deteriorating of several loges.

We had contacted several businesses that provide restoration and/or products to solve our problems. Either products were not satisfying to us or the businesses did not respond to our requests.

Thank you, Mr. Anderson, for coming to our aide. We have had many compliments.

Your employees were pleasant, considerate, and neat.

It was about one year ago that we started researching our dream.

When we started looking for a builder, our objective was to find someone we could trust and that shared our desire for quality.

Always patient and kind, Steve put up with our ignorance, answering our questions in a way we could understand and offering suggestions that always made since. He even took the time to visit the building site, 3 hours from home, before we had made any commitment!

After starting construction, all of you worked extremely hard, ignoring holidays and weekends in order to keep the process on time. Yet never was quality sacrificed.
