Mountain Log Homes ~ Fine Handcrafted Log Homes ~ Mountain Log Homes, established in Montana's beautiful Bitterroot Valley, has been providing exceptional log homes for over 35 years. All of our homes are handcrafted and designed to meet your exact specifications. We use only hand-peeled, dry logs that are harvested from standing dead timber. You'll find our homes throughout the United States and Montana, and also in areas such as Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Aspen and Park City. In addition, we take great pride in building lodges, cabins and commercial buildings. Every client, whether large or small, is treated with respect and delivered a beautiful, high quality log structure. We proudly build log homes as unique as the owners who envision them. Our personalized service is second to none. All of our homes are built with the environment in mind. Hand peeling reduces the use of machines, all parts of the log are used with no waste, and interior walls don't require additional finishing, which reduces reliance on chemicals. Fewer metal fasteners are required, which also reduces the overall cost. As your log home 'settles' over time, the energy efficiency will actually increase, instead of decrease as with more traditional homes. Mountain Log Homes can provide a complete log home package, or simply a log shell. We frequently work with general contractors and owner-builders as well. An emphasis is placed on keeping our overhead low, for additional savings to you. Be it a small guest cabin, massive country lodge or a personal residence, we will go to work for you. |

We are a mill direct supplier of D style double t&g house logs in four sizes, 6x6, 6x8, 8x6, & 8x8, made from dead standing engleman spruce & lodge pole pine. Our logs are T.P.I. graded dry 19% or less moisture to meet the U.B.C. building code. This also makes a very stable wall. We are one of a very few mills that can stamp their product as dry. We also mill 2x6 & 2x8 ship lap log siding & T&G decking. Interior aspen paneling in 1x6 t&g. We are a family owned and operated mill since 1968. Supplying individuals, contractors, and kit manufactures with mill direct pricing to save you money. We will give free estimates from your own plans for the products we can supply.
